Clinical Psychologist, Female

Ashleigh Wesseling

Professional statement

Ashleigh is a Clinical Psychology Registrar with experience supporting adults across inpatient and outpatient settings, in individual therapy. Her work spans a range of presentations, including mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, PTSD, occupational trauma, and addiction. She can also provide services under WorkCover, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), and for current Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel.

Ashleigh's approach is grounded in the belief that each person carries an innate, intuitive sense of what’s right for them. She sees therapy as a collaborative space, where she can support you in reconnecting with yourself, while drawing on her clinical expertise to guide the process.

Ashleigh's therapeutic practice integrates a range of evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Outside of work, you can often find Ashleigh in nature, at a yoga studio, or on horseback.
